weird noise when downshifting....

well, i have a problem with my car, when i downshift and engine break after about 2000 rpm the car makes a weird noise like some ball bearings rubbing against a metal plate. I was wondering if maybe my alternator is going bad, because when i let off the gas the headlights dim as well.. but i was also thinking that maybe one of my calipers was making that noise...

anyone know what it could be?

You positive its not something to do with the clutch itself..like say pressure plate?

well it could be, because i got it back from the dealer after they did some 60k maintenance for me, and they said i needed a new clutch, wonder if thats what the noise is....
