i have oil coming out of my bov. i took that recurculatinbg hose off and noticed oil in the tube. so i started car up and reved it up a few times and a puff of smoke and oil would come out. where is it coming from? i was thinking the turbo, it doesnt have any shaft play, in/out side to side. im also thinking all this oil is what causes my car to take forever to start in the cold mornings.

do you have a hose from your valve cover going to the intake? If so, just remove the hose, and put a breather on it, and that should take care of things.

Well..... I can think of a couple of "possible" reasons for it.

1) Your turbo is on its way out, and blowing oil all up into the intake.

2) Your crankcase vent / pcv valve are spitting a ton of oil into the intake tract, and it's making its way to the BOV.

My turbo went a month ago, just tore the whole thing apart, shaft play, the whole nine....Check the play on the turbo again, as it seems like a likely suspect. Almost my whole intake system was covered in oil. Just an experience for you to think about.
