k i got the powersteering/ accessory belt replaced by a shop about 2 weeks ago, and today it tore off again. this is about the 5th time i think its happened... I have already replaced the tensionser puller, and they said everything is alligned properly. What is causing this to snap? The shops replacing it for free so its not that big of an issue, but i just want to know so it wont keep happening. I have noticed it seems to come off when i rev in the 5 1/2k and up rpms or when i make a sharp turn. Is sre the tension is right, so im at a loss... thx

It sounds like your powersteering pump might be locking up, or your pulley could be warped, and thus causing it to get tight and lose constantly over and over again.

I had a 2g nt, and the same thing happened to me after I replaced the timing belt, and serpentine belts. Check to make sure that the pulleys are lined up. You can do this by putting a leveler across the belt when it is on the pulley to see if it is correct. Use the leveler as if your were to lay it down on something next to the belt. Just a thought, hope it helps. If the alignment is incorrect try to tighten the harmonic balancer to align it. :thumb:

i agree with them ^^ , is it coming off ? or is it snapping ? mine completely snapped last weekend, but that was causing i was racing im guessing, my friend said he heard some gawd awful sound from my car, sure enough, that was it

update...
i brought my car to the shop and they told me i needed a new idler. So now im paying them something like 370 for parts and labor...
