Another misfire question.

Hello all,

First of all, I did a search and couldn't find anything that would answer my question. So here's the problem.

Anytime I hammer the throttle and the turbo spools to between 6-11 psi, I get a bit of white smoke when I let off the throttle to shift. I know it is burning oil, but is it a bad turbo, valve stem seals, or anything else? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

White smoke is usually a sign burning condensation or water, not oil. If it is light blue on the other hand then It is oil.

I would do a compression check.

Does the car tend to overheat at all?

Is your BOV recirculated?

What do your plugs electrodes look like?

Is your oil line from the head still piped into the intake? If so this will cause oil buildup through out the IC pipes and intercooler. I would inspect the pipes for to see if they have any oil in them. If there is some oil but not a lot then you should be ok. I would also clean out the intercoooler.

I will be doing a comp test in the next week or so once I get back home from school.

The car doesn't overheat at all.

The BOV is an interesting question. It has an aftermarket one on there, might be a Blitz but I can't tell because there is no brand name on it. I haven't quite figured it out yet but I did buy a stock one so that might solve the problem.

I just changed the plugs and all of the electrodes were fine except one which was pretty burnt up.

I'll have to check on that oil line, I never thought about that. Thanks again
