all right, first i thought it was the alternator but i kinda crossed that out. Then after posting, i think its a fuel problem and i still do, but my mechanic somehow thinks that this is a ecu problem, and its really pissing me off, and making me think hes a total idiot becuz he told me it was my ecu then told me it was going to take him a couple of hours to test my ecu codes. Anyways, back to the point my car is stalling when i'm sitting at a redlight or idling. Then after i let it sit for a while it starts back up, and depending on how long i let it sit is how far it goes. I posted and got a response saying it was a fuel problem and most likely a clogged fuel filter which makes a lot of since, but the car was already at the mechanic so i didnt get a chance to even check it, and now hes telling me its the ecu and i was wondering if theres anyway that my problem could be a problem with my ecu. Thanks and sorry to keep posting, but my mechanic is really pissing me off and i just need to vent.
. Where are you getting this done at? If you keep the idle up will it still stall? Is your timing okay? Fuel sounds like a possibility, but I would hook up a gauge tester to it first. Have you pressure tested your intake system? That would help reveal boost leaks/vacuum leaks that might cause your stalling problem. What does the car idle at normally? Does it just up and stall? Rev at all before stall? Keep us updated and good luck!
