I'm looking for good and affordable window tinting near Portland. I've heard great stuff about Alexia's window tinting in Beaverton. What other places do you guys recommend?

Also, I know the state law is 35% for window tint... Can I get a picture of you guys that have 35% tint? I was thinking maybe 20% on the back and 35% on the sides..

(BUMP) I'm looking for this information as well.

Here's a quote I got from a place called -- 503 Motoring -- :

(quoted directly from an e-mail)

"To do your Eclipse, it would be $245, as the back window is one of the more difficult tint jobs to perform, from what my tinter has told me.

35% is the legal limit, and we stock Carbon 38, 18, 5 and can special order a variety of other tints. We also stock Carbon XP in 45, and 18 which is an even higher end tint and goes for $100 more."

I've read that $245 is pretty expensive for a 2 door, idk if it's worth it.
After reading up on people getting tint in Oregon, I've found out that with the Carbon 38, people were getting pulled over and the tint would read around 32-34% which is, as you know, illegal. SO I asked them about that and here's the response:

"The reason we use Carbon 38 is that it's actually 42% opacity and can be used over top of your windows, which have a slight factory tint, while still being legal."

I have a 97 Eclipse GS and I can tell the windows have a very slight factory tint, so maybe this would be a good option.

My problem is getting it tinted and it not making a very big difference, which would feel like a waste of money.

Please let me know any quotes or if you've already got yours done, I'd like the info to compare ! :)

Do it yourself, it's easy. All you need is a spray bottle full of water, an old credit card, a box cutter (or razor blade), a heat gun (or hair dryer) and some patience.

Heck no! Looks like a pain in the rear for sure!!

I got a quote from Alexia's Window Tinting in Beaverton for $180 and they're supposedly one of the best places around. They did a friends car and it was amazing. I ended up not putting the money into tint like I was planning. Still would like to get it though and when I do I'm going to Alexia's.

OP, thanks for following up, many of these threads never see resolution, its refreshing to see someone put the work in and follow through with an answer, even if you opted to wait!
