does anyone have a cherry picker i can use?? i need to replace my water pump. i already have my tranny out. its ready to lift so i can do the water pump. shouldnt take more than 2 or 3 hours tops. id be willing to pay on the 5th.

Balls out and reach in there and change it without removing the engine.:p

how and the hell do you do that? i cant find any write ups on a water pump replacement. so i figured with the limited space u just pull the engine. LOL

Old thread, but I could have told you how.

You put a block of wood on the oil pan, remove the right side motor mount. Then jack up the motor until you can reach in and get to it. Really, it only takes a few inches of lifting to be able to easily access it.

But if your motor mounts are already shot I don't see a reason to not pull the motor unless you aren't replacing them.
