Just wondering, what's with the blue tape on the headlights and some openings of the bumpers? I'm a road racing nub so forgive me. It does look like fun though.

It's painters tape used to protect the surfaces. Painters tape is used because it won't peel anything off that it's stuck to.

I Actually discovered (before ducting the brakes and intake) that the painters tape over the holes on the bumper where the foglights and side ducts are actually helped keep air going through the radiator better and reduced my water temps. I have no scientific evidence but through trial and error I found this to be true. Then I used an intake and then an oil cooler on the 2 side ducts, and I will be buying empie's (dsmtalk) Carbon fiber fog light covers and duct some more on the radiator so hope she wont overheat after a 25 minute session.

In the olden days, tracks made you tape the glass lenses so you'd shed fewer pieces when you wadded it. Rally racer would tape parts of the headlight lens to get less glare in fog and snow.

Lol that pretty neat. I have always been a huge fan of the GT40 but it wasn't until I actually stood beside one and really got to check it out that all the udulations of the body design become apparent. I think it is one supercar that actually improved on the original without taking anything away from the original. It is a fabulously sexy car up close. Kind like how a Lamborghini Murcilagro (sp?) looks really nice at a distance but those sexy hips overwhelm your senses when you see it up close.

I wish I had been able to take some pics of the Talon when I was doing autocross this past summer but the wife just loathes it and didn't want to participate in any way.

Too bad the driver wasnt up to par, he spun out in front of me trying to stay in front of me, I guess he didnt feel like getting lapped......again .

Yeah, and they also came out with a GT43 (my head goes through the ceiling in a 40)
