Hey guys,I was just getting ready to go e85 and drove by apache sands on main st. and they no longer sell fuel. Does anybody know where else to get e85 out here in east mesa apache junction area? Thanks in advance.

You can google e85 stations in your area an it should come up with the stations nearest you. Hope this helps.

I did but the list isn't up to date cause it says apache sands still sells e85.That's why I was asking if anybody knows of new places not on the list.

I also would like to know this! I also live in the east mesa apache junction area and im not sure why apache sands quit selling e85 but id also like to see were theres a station at?

I'm pretty sure stations are stopping sales of e85 because the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit (VEETC) has come to an end and is not being renewed. The government is stopping all credits for companies that produce e85 and it is likely that the industry will not be very profitable without the government incentive.

While I think this is a good thing because the government shouldn't have done this in the first place it sucks for small groups like ours that use e85. It is LIKELY, not certain, that e85 production is going to drop very drastically over the next couple years and we won't be seeing it any many (if any) stations anymore.

EDIT: I don't want to scare anyone. There is a chance that the industry will be just fine without the government subsidies. I just don't think so. But ethanol makes up 10 percent of the U.S.'s fuel supply so it could hold its own in the market. I just have a feeling most of our corn and most of Brazil's sugar cane will be exported to China where ethanol fuel is more popular. Companies would make more of a profit doing so than to try and sell it here in the U.S. so I don't see the business doing well here in the states.

With the ending of the ethanol subsidies, the tariff on imported ethanol has also ended. It is now possible for cheap sugarcane based ethanol to be shipped up from brazil.
Apache sands closed I believe.
The closest place for you guys may be the race fuel depot downtown.

They make WAY more money shipping it to China though. Especially with how our dollar has been lately.
