whats up guys. new to the board and community. i recently purchased a 98 gst. it was all stock with 75k on it. so i had to get some new parts. my mod list:

obx tubular manifold
t3/t4 turbo (size of a 20g)
external wg
3"inch open down pipe
fmic
aeromotive fpr
walbro 255(rewired)
denso 660's
wide band
safc
arp head studs(not installed)
cometic head gastket(not installed)

after all the parts were installed, the car could idle, but i could not drive it. so i let it idle to warm up one day, and it just died. i looked over everything and the fuel pump fuse blew. i put a new one in, and it popped again. so i did it a couple more times to make sure because im an idiot. LOL. but i figured out that the fuel pump was bad. it was brand new when i bought it.

so i put the stock one in and put back the stock injectors. and the car starts fine, but it doesnt want to drive past like 3 grand. it can barely idle with the safc plugged in, but when i unplug it, it idles fine. my wideband shows that its going way too rich. like 10.2:1 and sometimes even lower at part throttle. idk why its doing that, ### i put back the stock injectors and pump. i set the fuel pressure on the regulator to like 38 at idle.

so i was wondering if anyone had any experience in tuning the safc and could maybe give me a hand. shit... i would even pay for your time if thats what it takes. i just need to get the car running so i can take it to english racing. i live in bellevue are. any input would be appriciated!!! thanks

what sensor type is your safc set at? it should be on karman. your car will run like butt if its not set on that. also check out the vfaq section for safc write ups. everycar is different so my settings wont neccassarily work for you. but if you have any questions i could maybe help you out.

its set to karman. i got it to run a little, but its still not good. i took out like -30% from like 1k rpm to like 6k for the low throttle setting. how come i had to do that even though i had stock injectors and stock pump.

oh and my throttle points are low:30% and high:80%

update: so i took the car to pina. andre is a great guy.i would recommend anyone to go overthere. the tune came out ok i guess. i mean that much power at only 17psi looks good to me. the power is there but its running pig rich at idle. like 11.2:1... i backed out the afc like -30 to -50 at idle. and still doesnt make a difference. i lowered the fuel pressure to like 33 with hose off, and still its rich. no boost leaks. he said they couldnt really fix the afr at like 4700 to 5600 due to having 660cc injectors and timing issues. i mean it runs ok, but i dont like how i get full boost by 4500. but i guess i can live with it. a drum roll for the #'s...................

You will want to bump that fuel pressure back up if you can.

The 660's are gonna be hard to tune out just using a safc alone. What do you have to log with? One thing that comes to mind is that your car may be giving up on closed loop while at idle. This normally happens if your ecu keeps trying to pull as much fuel as it can and eventually it will say the heck with it and switch to open loop mode even while at idle. Once in open loop mode it will ignore everything.

DSMLink or Jeffs Chip from Keydiver.

Andre and Jeff are both good buddies and Andre will socket your ECU for you if you can get your hands on an EPROM if you dont have one.

Jeff will compansate those injectors allowing the car to have a very good safe tune allowing you to use your SAFC as a FINE tuning device, like it should be used for.

Car will run flawless. I have Evo 560s and fuel pump with the EvoMAF, and with it all compensated and the SAFC ZEROED out, there is no knock what so ever.
Waitng for my UEGO to get here so I can see what my AFRs are, and maybe lean it out a little more for more power.

Add some meth, cams, and SMIM, get all the power from the 20g you can!
