Emissions help TAC WA. 6 bolt swap.
i know this is kinda a double post but i need helpppp
I just got a rebuilt 6 bolt from a '90 gsx and swapped it into a 95 GST.
As far the problems I know about.
The rear O2 sensor is bad and it looks the the EGR Valve is blocked and (i believe) the throttle body vacuum hoses are looped.
However, I don't think this is all I have to fix to pass.
Here are the numbers for my Emissions test in Washington.

Well if you can't get it fixed, I just looked up the regs a couple days ago and all you need to do is take it to a State certified emmsions tech and spend $150. Take the receipts and you can apply for a waiver. This whole emmsions thing is lame. I've lieved in Eastern Washington most of my life and never had to deal with this whole emmisions thing before.
Edit: Also you can't to sign a paper that says that none of the emissions systems have been bypassed (EGR )

Lol that was my plan was to BS and get the waiver.
However, if your car is modified (this would apply to me) you can't get it.
Sooo basically. I'm in deep with the money. It's probably something like the O2 or the Blocked EGR Valve. Right now they're looped and i've got a chipped ECU but I don't have any clue what it is. It's really getting to me honestly. And the Cat is fine I think. Other than the Exhaust it should be fine. I'm gonna take it to a shop this week sometime.

Would be nice if there was a national chain along the lines of Jiffy Lube or Midas that just performed emissions parts swaps. Like you could just show up with your box of stocker parts and they would return things to stock for emissions testing then you could come back a couple hours later and they would put your good parts back in for Jiffy Lube prices. Oh well, one can always dream.

That'd be amazing. haha. I think it might be the ECU but I hate this stupid testing because there is nothing wrong with my DSM just the state seems to think i'm gonna do the world with global warming. Sooo stupid. I wanna use an out of county address but the pops is a lawyer so you know how that is.. Yeah, he is a lawyer and won't even help me fix my car and I bought my own too. That's why it's a GST not a GSX haha. I'll just have to take it to a shop. I was hoping it was the EGR but that would only be NO2 not anything to do with the emissions. ###.

you should be good with the "cat" only if its not a Test pipe. i have a test pipe but i havn't installed it yet but since i live in Granite Falls i don't have to do emissions

That would be sweet. Right now it's in the shop I want an idea of what it'll take to fix it. But it's frustrating because I have absolutley NO clue what it is. The cat is fine, ecu is good, fuel pump is fine (the wiring isn't bad?), EGR valves are blocked but that's only NO2, and the O2 is gone n the rear but that shouldn't effect the rest of the numbers should it?

are you running an afc or any other type of adjustable fuel computer? my car has no emmission, removed it all, and when i went my first time i failed badly, after adjusting my afc to way lean i passed with flying colors ,then put everything back to normal. also ive heard of guys with 2g,s take the rear o2 out and tuck it above the exhaust as its not needed. just some idea,s good luck tho.

Um no it was nothing with the AFC.
Wooop, the O2 was dead in the front. And the rear wasn't in there, just the housing.
So now, there is some air pressure differential in the manifold. 450$ gone. lol.
I didn't even expect that.
