Has anyone used Finish Line Coatings in Milwaukie (Oregon) to have their manifold or turbine housing coated? Most guys seem to recommend Jet Hot. But it would be nice to use a local place and not have to ship the parts out. If anyone has used them can you tell me how it turned out and whether or not you would recommend them.

Just my oem manifold and turbine housing.

I hope you mean your EVO manifold, and not the 2G.... What are you, scared of the exhaust studs? :tease:

Yeah, the EVO III manifold that's on the car now. I wrapped it about 1000 miles ago and was very pleased with the results. Underhood temps have been noticeably cooler. But I pulled my heat shield a couple days ago and noticed that the wrap has become brittle. It is still in place and looks ok but I can tear off pieces of it pretty easily. It seems to still be functional, just not quite as much as when I had first done it. And yes, I did spray it with the high temp spray that is specifically made for it. I sprayed it quite liberally in fact.

I am a big proponent of wrapping/coating the manifold and turbine housing as it has multiple benefits. I'm thinking the ceramic coating might be more durable than the wrap but I'm still reading through threads to guage some of the results guys have had as far as the coatings holding up and not flaking off.
