Ok so I've read through a lot of posts on here, some not wanting people to post about how we need to get together yadda yadda... ok : I just got back from Iraq and bought my old dream car ( 9 years ago I owned a 91 1.8 GS ) ... I got my 93 GSX now !!! I used to be a strong member of a Evo NW group and plan on doing the same for this. I hope I'm not comming off to strong, because I am new to the group, or stepping on any toes... If I am please let me know. But being how I am military woohoo I do feel a need to organize shit and better an organization. I hope this is taken in good spirit ... With that said I would like to organize local meets at certain places once or twice a month. I also have access to a full DIY shop on Ft. Lewis, provided I either escort you on, or drive your vehicle on post. Using the lift is $3 an hour, and use of tools FREE w/ me there. I would like to extend this to some of our members on occasion as well. SO - Lets pull together ! Carry a notepad with pen in your glovebox and when you see a DSM/Mitsu , sive em the DSM NW homepage and your email... or print off a a note on your computer and keep some in the glove box to put on windshields. Through persistance we can create a MASSIVE following. Call me ambitious but like Jerry Maguire =- I have a plan .

Any thoughts ?

Hey man whats up! Im in everett and im down with going to some meets. I havent seen any other dsms over here, maybe 1 or 2 but just while driving. I've been to federal twice and i'd be down to drive over there for a meet. Im guessing your in the army, well im a fellow military person (navy, uss abraham lincoln). So holla at me man if you get any people together and ill definetly try and get ahold of some other dsmers.

Actually on Ft.Lewis alone are several GSX's , not to mention all the Evo's. I pick up the GSX this week and then I commence with the recruiting. I haven't planned a date or place since I haven't picked up the car... But my buddy has it for me, just gotts register it etc... Any ideas for where n when etc. I think the best place n time is like like a local joint, like a local speed shop on a Friday night or Sat late afternoon. The shop could be open, and usually attracts attention which is fun,then go cruise to a specified spot ( nothing better than seeing 10-20 DSM's ortuned cars crusing along I-5. But pulling the NW DSM's together is key. Establishing reliable members, then building on them. Then sharing the knowledge. Everything else will fall in place.

I am in and down for 2 x or more a month, I need it during the winter, since there is really no races going on.... I am a military brat myself, both of my parents are retired AF Chiefs, I am DAMN proud of them! So let me know, and I can get on base too. Holla at us!!!

Hey - Just sent you a P/M about having a get-together with some of the DSM guys - I'm going to try n find a spare tranny to practice on, then maybe we could all get together n tear it down and up again over beers to build confidence in doing it. Could save us all a lot over the years and all walk away all being able to contribute more to the club. What do u all think ? check out the VFAQ for the tranny - I think we can do it - and if not #### it - its a practice tranny - Keep you posted on it ANYONE GOT A SPARE TRANNY TO PRACTICE ON ?

No, but I want one......anyway, If you look on Craigslist you prob can find one, I have seen one if particular that a guy is selling w/ 65k original miles on it, for $185!!! Anyway, i am down, let me know, I would love to help and contribute! I know alot about dsm's, but obviously don't know it all......let us know?

No problem about the 11-12th thing. Still looking for a tranny... no - not my brother haha im a nerd . ok so if everyone could keep an eye out for a tranny - pref. a DSM , but MUST be a manual. Maybewe could find someone who has a spare from one of the MANY posts requesting one or stating tranny problems... maybe they resolved the issue or bought a new one and have the spare around... ?

Ok lets do it ! I got the GSX titled, tagged - new tires, oil change, full tune - feelin' good now. OK SO ... Lets set it up. Sunday seems best for for most, but Sat, or Sunday works for me. I just checked the weather channel website - rain all the way to next week so it doesnt matter . With everyone from Ft Lewis to Bremerton and eastward I think Federal way sits close to the middle for most... So I was thinking the "Commons" Mall ( Federal Way ) . Wide open parking lots all around - Xtreme Auto Salon right around the corner, and food all around us - I think it would suit us well till we find a place to crash ... Open to suggestions but I want something to happen this weekend so lets get on it !!!!
