personally i'm a fan of torque freaks, there is a guy there named jason, he's really really knowledgable when it comes to DSM's. he's one of only a couple i trust workin on my ride. i've heard a lot of good things so far about RRev too, you should go to their open house on the 21st, dyno demos, cars free food. should be a good time

I had a buddy tell me about the shop there. They sound like a real respectable shop. Lucas sounds like a good guy and knows what he is doing. And what work did you have done there? Heard he never worked on your car.

me?

Lucas did my timing belt and seals on my 90... and he did a act 2600 on my 94... both for VERY good prices.

Torquefreaks all the way for my recomendation. Jason is a very knowledgable guy and i do trust him. However he needs to MAF Transilate his 63 impala. and Lucas is the only Local guy i trust to do a dsm trans. however there are independant peoples in the portland are that do competent dsm work(ahem).

I personally reccomend Lucas since he has done all my work and has been very upfront. Torque Freaks has Jason but correct me if im wrong Jason doesnt do most of the work anymore and from what i understand they have lost alot of their good guys lately with some of them opening their own shops. Also the only other thing i can say about TF is they are kind of pricey.

You get what you pay for! I believe that Jason still has quality control duties, Tim ballz and John Reid left to start rrev motorsport. I think since they have turned over a few people doesn't mean that the shop is shit nott that anyone said it was. however John is a DAMN good tech and ems tuner. and Tim is a nice guy. That Jeremy guy that worked at TF with the 240 is a swindler, should not be trusted by anyone. I am sure that he stole shit from tony at speedos. but TF sh!tcanned that guy.

Jesse I don't really like getting paid in doughnuts anymore. Thats the old me. I am a health nut now (gotta lose wieght for the ladies). I like to be paid in tofu. Ask Jim i will be pulling his trans and pedal assembly again. now for the people it is 3 punds of tofu for a clutch install, 10 punds of tofu and a 6 pack of corona for a broken timing belt repair. :p

Torque Freaks is awesome. I trailered my eclipse from Spokane to have them finish what I couldn't do on my rebuild. Jason was great!

English Racing for your dsm needs!

I wouldnt reccomend TQF, Jason is a good guy, but I dont think he does the work anymore and they seem to have lost their good name they had before the new management took over.

^^ I would have to agree. Jason is a good guy and he has helped me plenty of times and in no way do i mean to bad mouth TF because they are a very reputable shop but i have to side with Lucas as the best dsm shop in the area. Cant wait till he gets things moved over to his new location.
