need to borrow engine hoist in Tracy

Not exactly a want to buy ad, but I am looking to borrow someone's engine hoist in Tracy California.

craigslist hasn't been much help for trying to find one used, and its hard to justify buying one when I'd use it maybe two or three times. Cheapest I have found is 150ish. If anyone knows places local to get one cheap or can let me borrow if you are not using it, i'd sure appreciate it.

I'd even give ya a deposit of 100 bucks for your piece of mind, trustworthy dsmer here

I'm looking to use it probably by the end of the month. Just let me know and we can talk it out.

pm or reply, yahoo im or aim, all in my profile.

Thanks!

Try renting one from the autoparts store like NAPA.

3 years? come on, gotta give me SOME credit :P

I got a build thread here:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hang...ld-thread.html

I had graduated college and was in the process of buying a house. I got a place now with a 2 car garage, and I just as of 2 days ago, bought a 2006 honda civic. Its a DD, so no shit about the fact its a civic :P

Its time to pull the motor out of the gsx now so that I can work on doing some electrical changes, while I am in the proess of gathering parts to finish the above noted project engine.

now you are updated does this mean you got a hoist I can borrow?

Well I have a friend coming up tomorrow who is going to buy an engine hoist and than return it. I guess that is the plan anways. I just need the engine out so I can sell it and keep working on my build, or else I would post up on the local forum you linked me too. I did check it out, perhaps I'll join up and keep an eye out for local get togethers.

Was nice before because when I was in Fremont, I was litterally one freeway exit away from the "union City meets" at krispie cream, made getting over there easy I been driving the new DD around since the dsm is all tore down, and I've only been in the valley 2 weeks now? I will def need to get caught up and meet some new guys.

what is this about wednesday night sonic meetings? I saw a crap load of tuners there on a wednesday I drove past. I didn't see any DSMs but I did see some evos and subbies. I suppose this isn't the thread to chat on, but feel free to pm me some ideas.

*edit* found a video of the night I drove by! interesting:

YouTube - Tracy Sonic Meet 9/9/09

If anyone in the tracy area wants to spare us the hassle of buying and returning a hoist tomorrow, we are doing a turbo swap on my buddies gst (my old red gst ) and than pulling my engine, and taking everything off I will need for my g4cs swap.

Thats the plan for tomorrow, let me know if anyone of you guys are free.
