can you run the DSMLINK V3 OBD2 USB CABLE with the v2 chip

yes you can use the V3 logging App. witha V2 chip, it will log faster then the V2 logging app.

you can not use the V3 specific featurs with out the V3 chip, like Speed Density, and the more advanced tuning items like the DA tables

if you have the V3 chip it will log alot more items and logs alot faster
