Norcal shops
hi all
im from the bay area and just picked up a 2g tsi awd and was wondering what are some dsm shops in the area
i've only ran across fftec on the forums so far
are there any local junkyard that has dsms thats close by so i don't have to go up to sac?
just want to buy a jpipe so i can get the 14b on without havin to order online and have it shipped
thanks a bunch

As far as a shop to go to, there's nothing better than FFTEC. Dig around a bit and you'll notice all the high horsepower DSMs and EVOs come out of FFTEC.
As for a junkyard, nearly all the Pick n Pulls have DSMs. Rarely do they have 2g's though. What are you looking for, I know I got a bunch of spare DSM crap laying around..haha. Anyone need 3-4 transmissions?

93_tsi_fwd - do u know if ## 1g at the pick n pull still have stock bov and the jpipe to smic
T9S1i - j-pipe to stock smic, licp or anything else to make a 14b on 2g install go easier
unlmtdndeavor - basically looking for stock 1g jpipe, or one that can connect a 14b on my 2g to the stock smic, as long as i have something or a flange that can bolt onto the turbo i guess i can have the rest of the pipe fabricated, could also use a new jpipe/turbo gasket, still lookin for a boost gauge/good stock or koni shocks/rims also if you have that=p
thanks for all the help guys!

I have a Bushur Racing j-pipe. It was the largest diameter one you could buy, same length as the stock one, so you'd still need to build something to adapt it to your intercooler piping. My advice, call up FFTEC and buy one of their j-pipes. I have a boost gauge too. An autometer -20/30psi black face. PM me if you want it.
