The meet is going to be on SATURDAY AUGUST 25TH AT 8AM

Well after being a bit too late in organizing the stinson meet beeing the procrastonator that I am I decided that I would actually set this one up. The meet was a huge sucess the first year we had it and the second year the cops were out in force so it didn't happen but its on again, so let's have some fun on this one. For those of you who went on the first one that are still here just bare with all the b.s. and sign your name at the bottom. For the new guys listen up.

If you are going to attend this meet and have never been on these roads before don't be a ####ing hero and try to be at the head of the pack. Leave the ego's at home or you are going to look like a ####tard with a smashed up car and have a bunch of angry dsmers wanting to kill you because you just crashed and ruined the ride. If you need to pass someone flash them and pass when its safe. DO NOT DRIVE OVER YOUR HEAD!.

With that out of the way here is how its going down. We will meet at the meet spot. Head up 84 to skyline, head south on skyline, and then s on 9 into santa cruz. Its simple, its what is happening, don't argue, and read this post so there are not a million and one questions about who/what/where/when/and why.

-We meet up at safeway on woodside road in Redwood City around 8am
-We head over to the 76 with 100octane pump gas for the people who want to run that
-After getting all the cars ready to go we head out.
-We first head up 84(woodside rd) I like to think of this as the warm up road. Lots of longer easier turns to get a feel for your car.
-We then head southbound on skyline rd to highway 9
-Once we get to 9 we head south/west on 9 into santa cruz. This road is quite a bit more technical for those who haven't been on it and I really don't recomend stretching your legs on this road if its the first time driving it. There are two decreasing radious turns that come up unanounced and they will bite you in the ass if you are not on top of things. The morning dew can make it extremely slick so I hope to have everyone(myself included) be careful when driving down this road.
-Once we get to santa cruz we will do something, then eat, then hand out some more(maybe go to the boardwalk like last year?)
-How you get home is up to you, after the very exhausting long drive in and hanging out in the sun all day I just opt to take 17 back over the hill and onto whatever freeway you need to take. HOwever, if you feel you wouldl ike to take 9 back by all means go for it.
-The last thing you need to do on this meet is try to keep up with me and Edwin

Just like last year I will have two, maybe three groups of people and each group will have a "leader." There will be the spirited group, the cruising group, and if enough people would like to have it an intermediate group. I will be heading off the spirited group as I have most likely driven the road more than anyone and feel comfortable enough doing it(not to mention I am going to be on my bike since I will be dsm less), I also need another lead guy for the spirited group as well. If anyone has any walky talkies bring them so we have some form of communication between groups since cell service is non existant on the hill. If you wold like to say be at the back of the spirited group just tell me and i'll make sure to let everyone know where you want to be. For this group I really really need everyone(again myself included) to check your ego's at the door. I really don't want anyone going off a cliff or into a ditch. I have almost crashed a couple of times on these road and its not a fun experience.

DIRECTIONS

From the northern Penninsula.

You can take 101 or 280 south to get there. For 280 you take the woodside road exit, make a left at the light on the offramp and head back under the freeway. Keep heading down woodside rd until you get to the flat part. Safeway will be on your left hand side, across teh street from Chucks Doughnuts and right next to starbucks. For Taking 101 south exit woodside road and head west. Continue up woodside rd untill you see safeway on your right hand side right after starbucks and chucks d's.

From San Jose

Same as above only only make the oposite turns off the freeway.

From the East bay. Take whichever bridge/freeway you like and get to 101, From the bay bridge/San Mateo bridge take 101 south. From 880/237/Dumbarton bridge take 101 north. Then follow the above directions.

So let's set up the list like this, list your name, the group you would like to be in, and if you have a preference as to where you want to be in the group list that as well.

1.)Zach(98eclipseRS) - spirited group.

1.)Zach(98eclipseRS) - spirited group.
2.)Edwin(unlmtdndeavor) - spirited group leader

don't miss out on this meet guys. this one is a lot of fun...but like zach said, no one's racing..so keep that in mind

Hmmm. Morning touge run. Sounds like fun. I've driven skyline once with my non-turbo fwd with no tires trying to keep up with all my friends SR's; I couldn't hang. What speeds are the spirited looking at? I don't know if you guys have been by San Jose and Milpitas but are you all more a Mt. Hamilton/Old Calavaras driver or what?

Don't know fast enough to get you in serious trouble with the law is what is usually ends up comming to. Skyline is sort of a retarded road that somehow got this amazing reputation for being fun, which I never understood. Once we get to the good roads speeds decrease significantly. I mean really there are so many great roads in the area I could take you guys on but I don't know how much of a treck everyone wants to take. I usually do a 160+ miles ride every sunday on my bike on some amazing roads.

I don't understand why the cops are going to be on our asses for driving highway nine. Is it because we all have the same car or what and "OOO I have to check your car for illegal modifications."

Have you not been in the car scene for very long or something? or do you not realize how fast we are going to be driving on this meet? Anytime you do anything illeagal(mod your car, speed, "reckless" driving, etc..) you can expect the cops to give you attention. Driving ten of the same loud cars doing the same illeagal things just brings you that much more attention. Its common sense really. Not to mention the hills are a favorite place of motorcyclists and car enthusiats on the weekend. People have been doing their thing on these roads for decades now. If you don't want to come don't come I don't care, but if you do realize you run the very real possobility of getting a ticket during the day unless you plan on doing the posted speed limit of 35mph(and trust me the road is no fun at those speeds).

Should I bring my Supermoto or my car?

I would bring the car personally but its up to you, its going to be 160+ miles of twisties and then you are going to have to ride it home after. Its up to you realy I would have brought my car if I was going to have one during this meet. What kind of bike do you have?

So, what are you driving these days, Zach? It's good to see you online here.

Wow I feel like I haven't been here in forever now, how's it going Paul? I still have the eclipse its awd now and it made 450ish whp recently but its getting sold soon so then ill just be driving something boring. Bikes take up most of my time these days though so that's really where all my time is going. I'll be around again I missed this place to muchROFL .

Everything's going good. Mine GST is AWD now as well. The conversion was a piece of cake. I'll be shooting for 500WHP on your old 50-trim late this fall. Still house shopping?

I was untill I found out my ex-fiance was a cheating whore, kicked her out and alot of the money I had saved went to covering bills that I got left with and helping me get through not having that second income. Then I lost my job because our company got slow and I was the last person on board so I was first off:mad: (even though I did a better job than half the ####ing journeymen at our shop). So now I am finally on the road to recovery. Not letting it get me down though, you have to go through the valley to realize how nice the view is from the top of the mountain right?

damn I'm going to have to miss this one, I'll be in BAMT class on Sat and Sun. Oh well. :D Zach hit me up when you get a chance.

I'll talk to my wife to see if we will make this meet. She loves drives but I always feel a punch in the arm when I drive 'too fast' (in her words).

I may be interested in an intermediate group, even though i've driven those roads a few times. If I don't take the wife and baby then I may be up for the spirited group and then maybe bring my EVO buddy.
