i just got an eagle talon tsi awd to day completly stock, i want to get a bov and exhaust and stuff like that, but im kinda lost with dsm stuff. so if anyone could point me in the right direction of mods that would help alot. thanks:thumb:

i dont want to be the party pooper of the team but have you thought about maintenance?
give your car a completly tune up.
I would also suggest a boost gauge, before doing any other mod.

wow theres alot of maintenance on these cars! im used to fixing up my focus this is def. somthing new and i cant wait. would any of the shops be able to the kind of tune up? like jiffy lube, speedy ect. thanks for the help

don't go to any of the above. if you want work done right, go to full function in hayward. Full Function

there are a few things you need to look into before you start modifying this car. first off, like people said above, do the maintenance. if you feel the need to have a shop do it for you, follow the link above, and speak to sean.

second, evaluate your goals. do you know what you want out of the car? do you want a 13, 12, 11, or 10 second car. set your goals, and do things once. thats the best advice i can give you.

feel free to pm or hit me up on aim if you have any questions. and welcome!

i wanna run in the mid to low 13s. how much am i looking at spending on the maintenance/full tune up. and as far as the full function goes can i just show up or do i have to call first. thanks for all the help

you need to call first and set up an appointment. i'd give them a call monday morning, they open at 11. the shop is pretty busy so you will need to book a couple weeks in advance. once you're there sean can help you evaluate your goals, and what it will take to get you there. low 13's can be done reallllly cheap

Almost 80,000 members have put up over a million and a half posts in damned near 200-thousand threads about fixing, modifying, adapting, repairing and using DSMs. There's a whole section of step-by-step modification procedures.

How much do you need your hand held?

Read what we've done, absorb it, and then please, feel free to ask specific questions about whatever specific direction you've decided to head toward.

Good god. Newbie is one thing. This is something else.
