I've got a 95 GSX ECU in my car (car and ECU match). My car initially smogged great with no problems. Well, 4 months later, after disconnecting my battery, my emission reset and are in the not ready state. I've read tons on what to do, which is not very much. I'm wondering if us Bay Area DSMers can get a common ECU from 95 or 99 on which to pass smog so we don't have to go to satan and get our ecu reset. Any thoughts?

What to do if your emissions are in not ready state is to just drive around for a while. If the ECU sees that it's running well then it'll turn those not ready to ready.

I read both of those posts, they offered reasons, but not many solutions. And the solutions they offered were not really worth trying (ie the drive cycles). But I will try the battery and grounding issue though. Thanks for the ideas.
