Has anyone been there lately? Their calendar shows they will be having a test and tune this Saturday (Dec. 3), and the 10 day forcast is showing it will be sunny. I've never been to the track before, so I'll probably be going this Saturday for the first time. Does anyone want to come along?

that track always has something going on.
usually i wait for cmi import events.
good track cars hook up good there i go to every import event i can all the way from fresno

I know alot of guys from the bay area go to Infineon, but the only drag events they have are Wednesday Night Drags.

Sears point blows asshole as far as drag prep goes so its not worth going. As for sac if the website says they have having a track day and its sunny outside then it will happen. I would go with you to try and see what I can do with less air presure in my slicks this time but well its my b-day this weekend and no track event in hell is going to keep me from celebrating that.

Just some advice if you do end up going. Don't expect to turn good times your first time out, it nearly never happens. Don't get frustrated if you don't turn good times, just use the experience to improve your skills. If they are running two people at once don't worry about what they guy in the next lane is doing. It will just make you more nervous and make you turn worse times.

Bring lots of tools. Bring the essentials, 10mm, 12mm,14mm open end wrench, sockets(deep and shallow, 3/8 and 1/2) lots of extensions, allen keys. Your tow companies card(even though you have to push your car outside of the track gates for most to pick you up. Also bring lots of food and water for you to have in a cooler. The track food sucks and its ####ing expensive. I would also recomend you try and bring a friend along just incase the printers aren't working that day and so you have someone there to help you just incase somethign goes wrong.

last time i went to sac, it was super foggy and they were still letting us run, traction sucked, but top end kicked ass.

arent the test n tunes like 45 bucks though? only good part is i hear you get in hella more runs than normal, and normal is like 3 runs a night. i need to go one of these days and get some numbers on the stang, before springtime and new gears go on.

Thanks for the advice bro and Happy early B-day. Shoot me a PM the next time you you're ready to go back to the track.
I'll definitely have my tools ready when I go, and good thing I renewed my AAA membership. I just hope I get enough runs to at least make progress. How many runs do you get on average on a Saturday?

The test and tunes are 45$ unless noted on the site that they are 100$. None of the upcomming ones are 100$ so don't worry. On your typical wed night drag you would probable get in 3runs maybe 4 and that's a huge maybe. Whenever I go on saturday or friday night whenever the test and tunes are, I usually get about 8 runs in and that's letting the car cool down between runs and leaving early. If I was to hot lap the car at a test and tune night I could probably get in a good 15-20 runs depending on how crowded it was. The last few events of the season are always more crowded so you obviously get less runs in. The test and tune nights always have better track prep, and you usually get a good showing of cars with slicks doing burnouts so traction is even better. The last time I went to the track I was one of maybe 8 street cars there and only one of the street cars(an sti) was on street tires. Everyone else was on slicks or drag radials. It was probably the stickiest I have ever seen the track.

Well, poured in some c12 for tomorrow. My problem right now is either a boost leak or internal wastegate problem, cause I can't seem to go past 17psi while I'm tuning. I'll find out what it is soon, or else I'll have to stay running at 17 PSI on a 60-1 :(
Either way, I'll still go so that I can get some practice.
