Oh my God!!!! Stop where you are!! Do NOT put nitrous ona car with an automatic. No one has ever done that and lived to tell about it! You are lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake just THINKING about it! Nitrous is pretty scary, and only the experienced professional should ever come near it. This guy I knew once tried to put it on his Civic, but he didn't know what he was doing, so anyways, he hooked it all up mad crazy, and as soon as he sprayed it, his hood popped off, his tires flattened, and he grew tits! Nitrous is the devil!!!

Regards,

Aslan you have way too much fun with those posts but damn does it make my day after hours of shitty class.

Pretty funny, I'm not sure if I even want to do it, I know extremely little about nitrous systems. And I want to do more work first instead of just sticking a nitrous system on my stock engine.

Dude auto or manual nor stock or modded means a difference when putting nitrous on car. How you hook it up what shot you use and how often you use it and in what conditions you use it are going to determine what happens to your engine. I shot a 50 dry through my stock auto GST at least 50 times and still no problems.

nitrous is a autos best friend. An a/t car is perfect for nitrous. Hit it about 3000 rpm's & never let off till you go throught the lights. With a manual u have to let off the button between shifts or if u have a micro switch on the t/b, when u let off the gas to change gears it will work the same. but ne way nitrous is more user friendly on a a/t. Go for it & happy spraying.

This is just from my experience....

I have a 98 RS with 70K miles. I became a NX dealer not too long ago, so I decided to get a kit for myself. Why sell it if you dont have it? I started with a 50 shot cause I was scared (to be honest). All I got to say is HOLD ON!!! MY 420A with an automatic literally smoked the tires till mid way through 2nd gear. I was impressed to say the least. Do youself a fav and wait till second so you can keep traction.

When installing the kit...

This is a Nitrous Express wet kit (part number 20923). There is no need to retard the timing or upgrade the ignition. The reason for this is because you are matching the laughing gas with fuel. Its not going to run lean or create detonation within a 35-75 shot. With a ZEX kit you will need to retard the timing (5 degrees per 50 horsepower) and upgrade the ignition beause it is a dry kit. THE WETTER THE BETTER!!!

The Effects...

My motor still feels strong. I killed the first bottle within 30 minutes on the street (yes im crazy!) Before I was running a friend of mine in his VTEC Civic with a 5 speed and he had me by 3-4 cars at 80 mph. Yes we run 0-80 so we dont get in too much trouble. Well after spraying a 50 shot on him at 500 psi (no I dont have a bottle heater yet) when you are supposed to be spraying at 1000 psi, he was 15-20 cars back. I thought he had quit after about 50 feet, he said he was still getting into it. After talking to NX they told me that I was probably spraying a 30 shot instead of a 50 shot. I CANT WAIT FOR THE HEATER!!!

It needs to be mounted 2-4 inches before the throttle body.

I talked to Nitrous Express today, and they said the shark nozzle install in the Hard intake piping would not be a problem. All parts needed are included in the kit (P/N 20923)
