Hey guys.just figured id drop a line....i ran 10.85 on friday night with an NOS single fogger wet kit bottle pressure was low 800psi. standard jets that came iwth it .037 and .020 i think. I used it from launch through all gears. with a 60-1/stage 3/.63 tubo car would only run 11.4 @ 125 best since spoolup was horrid on 1-2 shift. the 11.4 was on a 1.58 60'

on the 10 it was 1.532 and 100mph i 8th mile 6.999 10.85 @ 127.7 the 50 shot didn't add as much mph as i thought, but it sure did help the car off the line and on the 1-2 shift. took off like 5 tenths in ET and only added 2mph.

Great job! Now you have to update your sig. and send your timeslip to the fastest DSM times list. BTW, does anyone have the link to that page? I seem to have deleted the link from my favorites list.

Congrats,
Joe

Yeah nitrous is good...im going to be a junky soon i can see that now.
Going to up the jets for this weekend to 75 and see what that does. Think a 100 shot is too much for a single fogger in TB? i knew i would want 100+ hp out of the nitrous kit, but i sold the 4 port setup to a customer. Now I kind of wished i would have bought another one of those to start out with.

I think that a 75 shot is fine with a single fogger, maybe even 100.
But, I like the piece of mind of having the 4 port setup when spraying
larger than a 100 shot. I want to minimize any chance of killing
another motor. The larger amounts of fluid increase the chance of puddling and uneven distribution of fuel and nitrous.

Hey Nathan, I completely forgot to ship that intake manifold to you. Found it today while I was cleaning out the garage. I'll get it out to you tomorrow afternoon. P.S. guys, the 4 port setup that I got from Nathan is amazing. Works like a charm.

Well i ordered a variety of jets today to try out this weekend...i have 022/037 in there now....
I ordered 28,29,30,32 and 39,40,42,43,44,46 so i should be able to make any crazy combo between 75 and 100hp.

Hey Brian...have you gotten any track #'s on that 4 port? did you have any problems with it? Im real interested in how it worked out.

Nice job Nate C!

Since I cannot drive any better than my grandmom, I was still stuck in the 11's at 128.5 on the 50 shot also.

My problem was my 1/8 mile. Launch was only 1.7X but the 1/8 mile MPH was only 97. Pulled like crazy up top. I too, only picked up 2 mph with the 50 shot. I have a feeling the 50 shot, and the 50 fuel is a little on the rich side. I was going to put the 35 fuel jet in, but the car broke the transfer case before we had a chance to try it out!

That’s going to be a problem with most nitrous kit jetting. I believe they base the jets off of stock fuel pressure and even them I bet they jet them on the rich side. Anytime you move up your base FP you are going to run into the jets being too rich. I seem to remember that someone at Nitrous Express was fairly knowledgeable about DSM jet sizing.

I agree, and I did run higher fuel pressure. On the street, the 35 fuel and the 50 NX jet was very strong, a lot better than the 50/50. I had no knock ( on the 50/35 )until the top of fourth where I got about 5 counts. This was 25 psi, 108 gas, and I had about 20 degrees of timing.

On the 50/50 I knocked about 20 counts the whole way through the pull and only had 18 degrees of timing, but still ran 128 mph. I am new to the NOS myself, and am still learning for sure.

Maybe you were knocking because you were running too rich. The only way you will know for sure what your af is at is to get a wideband whether a prebuilt unit or a DIY job that you wire yourself. When you start making big power its an indispensable tool.

nathan, i picked up 8 tenths and 9mph with the kit you sold me. Like I said, it works GREAT. I also ran into running slightly rich, but i'm still running base fuel pressure, so it was easily tuned out with the AFC. everything in the kit you sent me was great, and the mounting bracket clears everything under the intake manifold fine. It is nearly impossible to see the kit at all with the useless emissions vacuum lines covering it. Not trying to sound like a salesmans to everyone, but Nathan's kit was well worth the money for the ease of installation. defiately delivered power as promised.

Just wondering what your boost spike is with the 50 shot or did you run a boost switch cutting it off at a curtain level

Adam
