im looking into all the performance stuff for this car before i buy to make sure its a wise decision. its a 94' eclipse base modle with a 5 speed, it has new heads, only six miles on them, new belts, new hoses, and new radiator, and it runs like a dream never misses and runs quite and smooth. the question is it has a 177,000 miles on it do you think it would be safe enough to put a 50-60 hp ZEX set up on without ruining the motor? if so how much would it cost to get a fresh engine put in?(1.8 liter)

Yeah, I would advise a NOS 10lb system though. But your car can handle the Nitrous boost if you are careful and don't push your boost and can learn how to use it first before you kill your car and yourself.

so you dont think there is any damage that can be done to such a high mileage engine if there is nothing all ready wrong with the engine?

There is always a possibility no matter what vehicle or condition the car is in. My friend did 75 shot zex on his perfect LS/Vtec and destroyed the engine. Car always ran great and barely had any problems with it if any. Fuel was never to rich or lean. People on steroids have complications so why wouldn't your car on nitrous?

BTW, laser came in twin turbo huh?!

What does the capacity of the bottle have to do with anything? And how can NITROUS (not "naws" ) kill you? Indulge us please.

you need one of the big ones, actually make it two,and you need it by tonight

on a serious note...i think your playing with fire...i think your engine is not going to handle any nitrious

yeah, whats up with this twinturbo laser

If your car is not a turbo, and runs perfectly fine, then the zex kit should work perfectly for you. If your car is a turbo, then a wet kit nitrous system is highly recommended.

Although a wet system is recommended for turbo cars, the Zex kit seems to be working pretty darn good on our turbo cars from what I have noticed from other people using it on these forums. Turbo Trix even sales the kit, and installs it. I'm definately considering it, even though it isn't a wet kit. I just plan on running the 55 shot and no more.
