Exactly as the title of the thread says
I'd like some recommendations on what type of system, wet or dry?
How much of a shot?
What brand?
And so on....
Can anyone with a 1g turbo that has nitrous, tell me what they think of it.
All your opinions are appreciated.

Thanks

:dsm: You want a wet kit. I have a 2g with a super 20g Turbo 75 shot NX kit w/purge.
Its only used in 3-4th gear., 1-2ond I cant control the wheel spin due to the violent boost power of the 20g. I only use it when I need it, usually just my 20g is enough to put em down.

I agree on a turbo I would only spray 3 and 4 th the problem is... In my opinion you dont know how your car will react to you spraying nitro. I sprayed nitro in my 1991 galant VR4 and it was great for a finishing touch. but the problem is My friend who has a 2000 Civic Si Has blew a hole through his #4 Pistion. I have wayed out the Possibiltys Nitrous Is good for a Big up in HP but bad in the long run. Due to the ract it decreases your enging life dramaticly If a Honda is good for 300,000 Miles but the Driver Uses about 3 bottles on it the car is now good foe 200,000 Just and example. I would rather spent the $500-2500 (depending on the setup) also the amount you will pay to buy new pistons, and rings every time you mess up the internals. On lets say a better suspension, Limited Slip, or a Turbo Upgrade. I can't say I dont like the stuff I have my own setup but I just couldnt use it after seeing all the problems my friend went through. Just a thought :dsm:

20gst
How does the S20G act with the 75shot? Are you on the stock bottom end? Any times or HP #s?
Thanks

;) The only problem I have with a 75 shot with my 20g is I get mad backfire between shifts and my boost wants to build up past my boost warning level and flash red and dumps overboost through my wastegate.
In reality to be honest I dont use it much. I use it at the strip when I know everything is tuned in and I hit low 12s up here in the high, high altitude of Colorado. I maybe could hit low 11s easy at sea level.
Just with the 20g I run 13.6@ 109mph piss poor 60ft is 2.4 best.

Hmmm... Super20G and a 75 shot on stock internals huh? Ever had that thing on a dyno? If you were making the power you SHOULD be making with a 20G and spray, your rods would have left the party a long time ago...especially with the AFC you are probably tooning with. We've made 400 wheel HP on a stock 2G bottom end, and that is just about the limit in most cases; I haven't heard of people making much more than that with a stock bottom end. With your setup, you should be making over 400 wheel HP, and with the increased cylinder pressure nitrous provides, I'd be a bit leary to trust that to a stock 2G bottom end.

Regards,

 You asked about my mods. Ok I have 98gst. mods are as follows.
HRC super 20g
HRC large intercoller
HRC 625cc injectors
Super AFC
AEM universal fp regulator
Stock rail
Warlboro 255iph fp all upgraded braided line
1g throtal body
Ported intake runners
Custom made exhaust manifold ss
Stock head w/ 272/272 HKS cams springs/retainers
2.5'' IC piping to BLITZ DD BOV w/hard spring
BLITZ ID meter linked to BLITZ ID boost controller "love it"
ACT 2600 extreme clutch Stock flywheel
MSD DIS-2
Nology wires w/splitfire plugs today. use NGK or Silverstone/Breu plugs.
NX w/purge kit 75 shot
Stock mass with screw turned and all combs out
3'' dp to N1, no resonator. "loud"
I got more stuff but this should do to help you see what I have so far Ive made alot of mistakes but I feel Im learning more here on DSM tuners than listining to other people here in my aera. I plan to do internals soon. The stuff aint cheap and my wife is getting angry.

Your a moron. It amazes me.

Sorry to Hijack the thread but I really like the idea of the S20g and nitrous. I wonder how much extra hp the S20g is worth in your situation over a standard 20g...
The s20g seems to be the ideal turbo for a bolt on car looking for 400whp on nitrous.

Or you can can get a tdo6 20g clipped 15 degrees in a 7 cm, spool at 3500 rpm, and make 420 whp with half his mods and no nitrous. But hey, get the shitty hahn #### if you want.

I thought those numbers were a little low for such an expensive turbo and nitrous; but 400whp is still impressive.

No, its not. Its garbage, that means hes making maybe 300 whp with a 20g and almost every possible supporting mod.... I can make 300 whp at like 14 psi.

:dsm: Yeah I do like the HRC kit for a good all around 20g, everything is solid and this was a nice kit. I do know for a fact this 20g from HRC can pull alot more top end than other 20gs Ive seen with external. But the guy and I both know this turbo has other issues ,
Ive seen other set ups that smokes my set up for cheaper . Like I say we learn as we go. Wish I had more to spend on the knowledge I have today.

What 20gs...It wont pull a BR and it wont pull a tdo6 or tdo6h...It can't flow #### through that tiny ass unclipped tdo5 exhaust wheel....20 cm housing, still hasta go through the itty bitty wheel....but it certainly does spool poorly....
