Well my buddy just bought a Wet nitrous setup to put on his car and had a few questions that I didn't know the exact answers for.

Car stats
1998 Eclipse GS-T
MBC @ 17 psi still on stock t-25, Apexi 3" Turboback exhaust, HKS SSQV, Injen Intake w/ K&N filter, upper / lower intercooler piping, exhaust cutout, ACT 2100. He also has a few things that he hasn't installed yet S-AFC, 1g Throttle Body, 2g Ported manifold and thats all.

Car is running on stock fuel setup. Stock injectors and fuel pump.

He is wanting to spray either a 50 or 75 wet shot to the car. Would he need to up the fuel pump to do this? If so would it run like junk when it was just on turbo no nitrous? I didn't know I thought to recommend a Walboro 190? Also the t-25 won't last long on the juice will it? Thanks for any input!

I would definatly run a fuel pump at least and some type of fuel control is always helpfull. And the nitrous will spin the heck out of that t-25, watch the boost level.

Go ahead and get the 255, he'll probly need it latter anyway. It's alot better to do it right the first time.

Nitrous is silly with the stock turbo, or with any lightly modded DSM for that matter. That aside, 17 psi is pushing it on that little turbo. You will probably heatsoak the stock SMIC pretty quick, maybe faster with nitrous. That little turbo usualyl starts blowing useless hot air after about 15-16 psi, that's the general consensus here.

The advantage of running nitrous is that it will cool down the intake charge.

But like stated above, you will be seriously overspinning that turbo. I'd only recommend you squeeze if you have a spare turbo on hand when this one blows. ROFL

actually my friend Brandon just broke he's on record on stock t25 ,stock injectors, fuel pump, all emission. "stock boost" complete bone stock. he ran 11.007 at 130mph . i belive he's last record wich is on dsmtuners 1/4 list was 11.149 at 127mph .

hopefully we can hit the track by the end of the month and hit the 10's!!

i am sorry this was done only on a 2stage nitrous 80shot off the line and i am not sure what's the 2nd stage shot. i am gonna say 120, but i am not sure if that was what gave him the new record. i let you guys know tomorrow.

We always replace the pumps with a min 190 when injecting more than a 100 shot. The best I've seen is a T25 powered 2g crack off a low 11 pass in AZ in a fully built 4G63 and a 250 shot of nitrous. Fully Built. Pump, and 550's. And he did it on the stock side mount.

what color? was it maroon?? I think we are talking about the same person. If it was maroon, then it was not built at the moment. now the car is black/yellow. now is motor is built rest still stock ie fuel system etc etc. yes stock piping and smic.

like i said when is was maroon car ran 11.14 at 127mph bone stock over 600 passes on the engine with 200 shot 80shot off the line and 120 halfway.

car was is built now 2.0 /8:5.1 Compression. It has JE pistons and Eagle Rods. Titanium springs and retainers with stock valves I believe. Car is gutted, spraying and painted for Nopi here at firebird raceway on march of this year . wich set a new record on the fastest T25 nitrous powered 2g. with a 11.007 at 130mph

am from what i learn from him about nitrous is that you can't overspin a t25 if you just making stock boost.

I'll try to get some recent videos from nopi

That's awesome!! :thumb:

I run a 75 wet shot along with my FP ported B28 turbo @ 20psi, 22 psi when spraying.

I also run HKS cams, S-AFC, 550's, AFPR, and a walbro 255lph, all on 93 pump gas.
