Basically I was wandering how you think a evo 16g would hold up with a wet 50 shot with a tial 38mm wastegate. i dont think creep will be a issue but I dont know about the turbo.
My next choice would be the 50 or 57 g series from SBR I will be useing the new manifold by them as well to help with flow and install. The thing is this is my DD for now and I have seen good numbers with the evo16g but for that extra uuhh at the track I was thinking of using my bottle I havent used in a year to give me that extra pull at the end. Or should I just stay with the evo 16g and stock manifold. Mods or in profile if needed.

Thanks AJ

Sorry if this all sounds

AJ,

Set up properly, nitrous can work well and provided you have it dyno tuned to make sure that it's not detonating, it should suit your purposes. What concerns me in your case is that while you have enough fuel to go wet, you may have issues trying to strike a balance with the AFC. On one hand, you'll be subtracting airflow to get a good air/fuel ratio while on the other, you'll be jacking the timing. Definitely get it on the dyno if you decide to go this route so as not to hurt the motor.

That being said, if it were up to me, I would step up to a larger turbo like a 50 trim and have the power on tap all the time. Bottles will run out, but the power increase from an EVO III to a 50 or 57 trim will be more apparent. Mate it to an SBR mani and you've got a great combination. If I wanted more grunt, that's the way I'd go.

Let us know what you decide.

Andy

P.S. You might want to update your profile and let us know what kind of fuel pump you have.

Yeah I was thinking just going with the 50t or 57t but I am always hearing them blow or break. That is something I can not afford to go wrong on my DD. I know most turbos come with a good warrenty now but 2-3 weeks without a car is to much. I have a s16g now and that thing has over 100,000 miles on it. All my friends have mitsu turbos and they run great with alot of miles on them. As for the afc it is getting ditched for the ECU+
I am also getting FPR, SHEP TRANS,GM MAFT,and the SBR Manifold like I mentioned along with what ever turbo I choice but I am still leaning towards the evo3. The nitrous is for track numbers just so I have that extra huh for the v8's. Other than that 350hp will do me fine on my car for a DD I am (Fwd) with my mods I should be able to get there no problem. I will update my car profile I cant belive I left the pump out.:coy:

IF you want to go with the 16G I would recommend at least clipping the turbine wheel. When you hit the N2O it make alot of exhaust energy. You do have a good external wastegate that should help.

The benefit of the Garret turbos is that you can get them with a bigger turbine wheel that could better handle the exhaust energy.
