Now I know normally that direct inject systems are limited to a minimum of 100 shot (25 per cylinder) on a 4 banger, but the title that is posted at NX's site states:

4CYL GASOINE EFI DIRECT-PORT(50-75-100-150-200HP)

Does this mean it is possible to have a 50 or even 75 direct shot?? I like the idea of ideal injection w/out blowing my engine :) However I think this is just wishful thinking ;)

You can have a 50 shot on a 4 cylinder now with both NOS and NX kits, they've got smaller sized jets now.

I've spoken to NX and they told me they had it, and a local shop I go to has installed a lot of NX and NOS kits, and they tell me they have jetted them for 50 shots. I know that a few years back, 80 was the lowest you could go on a 4 cylinder, but that's changed.

Are u serious??? 50 shot direct, WOOO-HOOOOO LOL. Anyone try it yet??

Now I've read some posts concerning the type of turbo used with a nitrous set up. For me personally I'm just using nitrous to for an extra kick, not so much power dependent upon it. So would a 50 direct shot be suitable for say the new breeds of BigT28s? Basically just trying to top the 400 hp with nitrous.

Honestly for a shot that small your better off using their EFI single nozzle kit. It's much easier to install than direct port (with the exception of their new system that goes under the fuel injectors with the rail with the built in lines for nitrous) and hide if you want to. It's also a heck of a lot cheaper. If your looking to run a lot more HP then direct port is well worth the money however for 50hp? uhh not really worth it.

Direct port does look pimp though. Just for kicks here is my old GTi with direct port.

I kinda miss her...

Looks were primarily the reason for the direct, but even at sub 80 shot, wouldn't the better delivery boost overall preformance. I know the price diff, but I saw two of these close for ~$350 on ebay a few days back. And as for the tinkering, I live for that sutff. I'm pushing to learn mechanics via DSM101 ;)
