I want to put zex on my 96 gst. i have a cold air intake, exaust and exaust header. thats it. i want to put a 55shot of zex through it. what would i need to do this safely. do i need anything to make the zex work on my car?

YOu have headers for a GST? The 4G63 don't come with headers and the only manifold upgrade with the stock turbo, (wich would make it worthless) is either a ported stock one or a EVOIII manifold. As for nitrous. Get fuel mods. Fuel pump, injectros and AFC.

i dont have the car yet. thats what im gonna be getting. why cant you put headers on a gst? if you cant what would you recommend for it? im not gonna put nitro in it intill the car and myself are ready for it. what can i do to get to this point

Ther's no headers because the turbo connects to the exhaust. Instead we have this:

You should be fine with the stock exhaust manifold, just get it ported if you get a bigger turbo. The stock turbo won't handle nitrous very well and will die quickly. For DSM I'd do every supporting mod for 16G or T28 turbo then add nitrous. These cars will do a lot with a turbo back exhaust, intake and a boost controller. Save your money and get some bolt ons. With just these mods it'll make at least as much as a 50 shot and will do it all the time. Or if you already have a full turbo back and intake, save for a Big28 for $600 and a fuel pump, and boost controller. At this point you shoudn't spray. And I personally think it's not worth the money compared to some of the gains you'll get from decently cheap mods you can still add.

Nano, I'm very into your setup. I like the numbers your are getting. But on a 2g DSM with a 255lph pump, did you upgrade to an AFPR? I'm thinking of going the same route with a different turbo choice, and a FMIC.I want a setup with an external wastegate. I just ordered my Walbro 190 fuel pump today, should be in soon. Oughta be fun putting it in. I gotta fix a high rev knock when on the spray and running 17# on the stock turbo. I think the stock injectors can keep up for now, but I'll be redoing the whole system pretty soon.

I'm running no afpr. Just an AFC and that's it. I could preaty much come close to maxing out my injectors with no nitrous. Running a dry kit with stock injectors is kind of dangerous if you ask me. But you can try and see.
