okay, i have been looking into buying a Nitrous Wet kit for my car for sometime now. I have searched te forums, and have read most of the other replies in each. I just had more detailed questions that i could not find the answers for.
I have a 1996 GST, with completely stock internals. All gaskets and seals have been replaced in the last 10k. The car runs like a gem, not a problem on her, (knock on wood).
I guess my first question is i am going to buy a wet kit for the car, what brand is the best suited for my car if I want to upgrade engine parts later? I heard that Zex or NX is.
I was also reading that I need to drop 1 step down colder for the Spark Plugs, what is the best suggestion there, too? I heard not to buy the platinum but copper, is this the truth? Also putting a 50 shot in is the best without having to tune advance the timing in my car at this point. Do I need to get an Air/Fuel unit, and if so which one is the best? Please help, i am going to be building a custom sub/amp rack in my back seat and wanted to put the bottle in with the custom fiberglass. Please help. thanks. :thumb:

Also, is there anything else I would need other than new spark plugs, like say injectors or a new fuel pump?

As of my experience, I ran NX wet shot 75hp. At that stage, I had
- upgraded fuel pump.
- 550cc
- AFC
- NGK 7es

Everything went fine, until I had blown head gasket, then I decided to change everything. Internals were fine, I did not have to change them, but I did it. If I had changed to Metal head gasket only, I would be fine.

You need to upgrade your fuel system, to be in a safe side. Start with 50 shot and go from there.
good luck

I have heard good and bad for the Zex Systems. I was wondering with what I want to do with my car, (400+ hp) which kit should i decide on getting so i can upgrade later on?

The Zex Wet Kit #82021
NX Wet Kit

And also thinking about getting a purge kit. What do you guys think? :thumb: :thumbdown

purge kit is always a great idea, you'll need it more than you know. just out of curiosity, what have you heard bad about the Zex kits?

I have heard that they don't do as good of a job as the regular NOS kits. But I would rather get a kit that does not blow up my engine if for some reason I put too much NOS into the car at once. I just want to get the kit that is right for my application now, and will work for my car when it is fully modified too. Would the ZEX 82021 be the right kit?

yeah, 82021 is the zex wet kit. i wouldn't trust NOS though, holley bought them out and i never liked either company, and i've read people bitching about NOS stuff as well.
