about a year ago i had 550cc's. i bought a SAFC and it ended up being junk so i had nothing to tune with. bought another SAFC not too long after that and the screen was FUBAR once it was hooked up. lost my job soon after and i sold the 550's and put the 450's back in.

im about to start driving the car again after i insure it, and i plan on taking it to the drag strip not too long from now.

what i want to know is, around how much boost is safe on the stock injectors, with lets say 110 or 116 octane race gas? i might have to pull out one of the honeycombs in case it starts to fuelcut.

some DSM people from around here have said 20-22psi, but i think thats a little too high on a b16g then again im not sure. im trying to take care of the car more than i used to at one point. if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to comment. :)

LOL, umm the same amount of boost you can run on regular pump gas.
its not the amount of octane that you need to run more boost, its your injectors are going to be maxed out

so probably 15psi?

idk i was maxing out my injectors on stock boost control with my ported 16g

octane does matter, you can run more boost/advanced timing for that same amount of gasoline. i can remove a honeycomb and it wont max out my fuel injectors as fast, so im wondering how lean i could go before it would start knocking.

at one point, my car would cut at 17+ psi, but that was a while ago. now for some reason, i could get into the low 20's in boost and it wont fuelcut, but i wouldnt really rev it high on that much boost, just wanted to see if it would cut or not.

each car is different, buy a wideband and tune it/keep turning up the boost till it starts knocking, thats how much boost you can run.

LOL, no when the injectors are maxed out, octane does not matter.

you are not going to magically make you injectors flow more because you have a higher octane fuel in

how do you plan on advancing the timing when you have no way to tune the car??

if you car is hitting fuel cut, that is your cars way of saying "hey quit doing this crap and buy some damn injector"

This is an unanswerable question over a forum. A logger and a wideband can tell you. That's it.

He just needs to up his fuel pressure!

OP actually, grab your logger, and log it. First hack away at your maf untill your getting about .8v on your O2 at wot. Then turn up your boost untill you get knock, and or 100% IDCs. As long as your running good fuel you'll be fairly safe like that.

Do boost leak tests.

Buy a logger and a wideband. Find something to tune your car with.

Do more boost leak tests. Datalog often. That's the only way you'll know what boost to run, how much fuel to inject, how much timing to run, etc. WE cannot tell you what YOUR car is going to do.

Edit:
turn up your boost untill you get knock, and or 100% IDCs

Do you know what an injector is doing at 100% IDC? Seriously??
