I hate to start another thread about this, but the reason I am is because I don't want to pull off my front case again if I don't have to.

The question is,

Is it acceptable to use the existing balance shaft bearings to do the BSE? As in just pop them out and re-insert them to block off the oil lines. Can this create any danger to the engine?

You might be wondering why I wouldn't just use the new bearings provided in the first place. Well I could not find them after 2 days of looking through my box of parts ordered(I thought they forgot to include them in the kit) so I just said screw it, removed the bearings, spun them, and re-inserted them. The day after I put everything back together I found the new bearings.

Thanks for any insight.

Since nothing actually rides on that bearing and it just plugs the port I see no problem in it at all.

Yup you can do that with no issues whatsoever. Enjoy the extra harmonics!!
