Blow Off Valve

Someone had told me that i could take off the hose to my blow off valve so i would hear it and instead of the excess pressure being released back into my engine it would just release into the oblivian. well i did this and yes i could hear it, but it seems like my engine wants to die. is there anything safe thing i can do to beable to hear it? THANK YOU!

getting an aftermarket air filter and hard intake pipe will help

did you plug the fitting at the other end of the hose? if that was open your engine would probably run poorly.

so i plugged the other end and it ran a little better but when i rev the needle then drops to almost 0 rpms and wants to die so i guess the only thing left is to get an intake pipe

Do you still have the aircan, 1g MAF with the silencer and lower comb in tact? I know you can put the hose back into the intake and still hear the bov if you have the aircan/silencer/lower honey comb removed.

when i did that to my car, i put an oil plug in the hose to stabalize the idle more, but you cant rev the engine or it WILL die.. it makes you run really rich, and overall is a bad idea. i loved the sound too, but just by an aftermarket BOV.. it will be nicer to your car
