hi guy's

recently i ordered a crankshaft kit from flatlander racing for $425
for my 1995 eclipse GST...
when i got it it won;t fit..when the mechanic turned the crankshaft by hand it was grinding on the rod and rod bearings..
so we took it out measure the rod jewel ant it's 44mm
ok i put the new connecting rod with the bearings i ordered on the rod and it's very stif you cannot even turn it with the hand..
so i e-mail flatlanders telling them to check if they send me the correct one ,,,and here are the mails i got from them ..

We contacted the warehouse and you have recieved a csmi6 crank just lkie you
ordered, they are for the 4g62 92 and up motor including the turbo, you might
want to check out what you have.Do you have the correct block?
Thanks,
Phil

ok aren't the 92-94 eclipse 1 gen and 6 bolt crank?
95-99 2 gen and 7 bolt block?
i mailed them back and told them this info and here is what they send me

Look on our web site........All 4g63 motors after 93 including the turbo take
the same crank, the one you ordered mi6.
Thanks,
Phil

please tel me what i have to do because they think they sold me the correct crank...on the website they have the same crank too for the 92 till 98 eclipse...

Thanks
Daniel

6 bolt cranks were made up until mid 92 then they went with the 7 bolt crank, as far as your did you put any type of lube on the crank before you tried to turn it in the block? Are you sure that the bearings are the right sizes and that you have the rod caps on right?

Yes we have put lube on the crank and the bearings.......i think teh bearings are good because the bearings are 0.020 inch and the main and the rod journal are also 0.020 inch

Thanks

Daniel
