I've searched the forum for it and didn't get a completly clear answer, most people sounded uncertain so I thought I would ask to get a clear one. Next week I am picking up my new (new to me) 96 Spyder GS-T, and the first thing I want to do is add a turbo timer and I came across the Blitz DTT DCII which has a built in boost guage. What I want to know is how accurate is the boost guage and would I have to end up getting a seperate regular boost guage? If the boost guage is good and accurate I will get this turbo timer to save me the trouble of having to had the BG later on.

Edit: To save from adding another thread, I heard just getting the K&N rechargable filter is good. Should I go for a whole intake or just get that?

i don't know how accurate the gauge is. does it even hook up to a vacuum source? also a digital boost gauge is gunna be harder to read. Watchin numbers flash up and down and up, it's much easier to just watch a needle move up and down. Who knows how fast the numbers update on it, u might floor it, and instead of seeing a needle steadly move up, you will see a bunch of numbers flash by like 3, 6.6, 8.3, 9.9, 12.4, 15.1, 15.2, 15.1, 14.9, 15.0, it would get so annoying trying to sit there and watch em, just get a gauge.

i have the blitz fatt, and it doesn't give an accurate reading of boost. in fact, mine only shows ignition, probably the same thing the one you're looking at does. here's a pic of mine, if it will help you figure out if we're talking about the same model

I have the Blitz DTT and it's pretty accurate. It even has a peak hold function for the boost gauge. It does not flash numbers. It is actually pretty easy to read. The only thing is that it does not read in psi but in hKpa. Just learn to convert it and it actually help to have the peak hold to set boost. It even has a peak warning alarm that will change the screen red and beep. It is worth the money to have it. By the way, it does connect to a vacuum source and it also read vacuum as well.
