Hey i got an :dsm: 1997 Eclipse RS 2.0:dsm: Its a Manual and it has only 30k on it, i had a AFC in it and a intake with a exhaust system going straight to my engine bought some GReddy headers and it was running great then my engine got messed up so i changed it and changed my transmission and i put a 1999 into it and it was still going good until the AFC wires burned but now the car wont REV past 4000 RPM i mean when you start it , it will but when it goes under 4000 RPM it wont go past i mean i taped the AFC wire that burned and i change the Sensors on my Intake Manifold im really getting tired of this car i mean i spent so much money but i still love it if anyone could give me some advice that would help alot ohh and i took like my Power Steering off and my AC its really no use.

when my alternator fried the car wouldnt rev past 4k, lights would come on and it would hit like a rev limiter at 4k

check what voltage your alternator is putting out, that particular time it was pumping out 20v, the voltage regulator crapped out

but the problem was i didnt change the alternator but ill check it and exchange it and see if its that the problem thanks for answering my questions
