Okay...I have a question....

I have a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. My car is bone stock and the fuel injectors are failing...Would it be wise to upgrade to 550cc or stick with 450cc? If I do upgrade, what are the problems that I will encounter?
Any input is appreciated
Thanks

With 550cc injectors, you'll probably want a higher flowing fuel pump, and with that, you'll need something to tune all that, such as an AFC...otherwise, you'll have these huge injectors, and fuel pump dumping fuel in at a crazy rate...you've got to tune that out.

IF you plan on upgrading in the future, go with 550's...if not, go with stock injectors.

This is if you plan on upgrading now. Don't buy 550cc injectors and have a stock fuel pump and no fuel control.

If you want replacements with no other costs or modifications, buy stock 440cc injectors.

:D

How much am i looking at for brand spanking new 440's?

Call your local Mitsubishi dealer and ask them.

If I were you, consider your goals with the car. If you are planning on keeping it stock for quite some time, buy some new 440cc injectors if you must. Otherwise I would consider buying some used 440cc's to fix your current problem and getting more mods and bigger injectors when you have the money.

So:

1. Buy new, stay stock for a long time
2. Buy used, save money for short-term mods
3. Buy bigger injectors, fuel pump, fuel control, etc.
