Could you guys teach me how to tune the boost in my car with a manual boost control?

I have the gauge and the control and I need to learn in general how to use it. Do I tune it when the car is idle using the vac reading on the gauge? Or when Im boosting? Im kind of confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Twist the knob, one circle is usually 1 psi in some boost controllers. It should say in the directions or ask people where you bought it from. After you adjust it, let the turbo spool and see where the max boost is on the boost gauge. Adjust from what you see.

I am totally new to turbos so you gotta be even more precise then that. I dont have directions for one thing. When you say let the turbo spool thats just idling the car right and see how hight the vac psi number goes isnt it?

Just put it in nuetral and rev it to see what the max boost it reaches is. Adjust the boost controller to raise/lower boost to your desired level.

what? he has to be driving to get a anywhere near a accurate boost reading.

No, check your boost on a WOT pull in third from 2500 to 6000 rpm. If it gets over about 12, BE CAREFUL. If it climbs higher, LET OFF. You can run fifteen (hell, you can hit 20+) but it's kind of a lot if you only have one car.
Turning the knob IN INcreases boost. Don't adjust more than a half-turn at a time.
