whats the cfm/hp ratings of the 16g big16g and evo16g ?

ordering my turbo in a day or 2. just wondering what the ratings are of the 3 16gs..
 
not sure exactly but id go with the evo16g if the difference in price isnt much! go for the one up there ^ in the ad, $569 SHIPPED... sounds good to me!
 
damn those numbers seem high!! at what psi is that at? i thought the 20g was around 550 at x psi..
 
From an old post here on Tuners:

16g = 34lb/min
Big 16g = 36lb/min

Not sure how to convert that to CFM's or what the EVO16G is.
 
I dont have one for the evo, but here's the small and big. With out seeing a map on the EVO I'm not going to say don't get it. But I remember reading a post a while back were one of the members on this site, I don't remember who but he sounded like he new his shit, said that the reason why the big16 is so much less efficient than the small 16g is because the compressor housing is too small for the compressor wheel. If this is true it will be even worse with the evo because it is even bigger. But at the same time the evo wheel is lighter so that might make up for it. I don't know I'm just trying to give you some thing to think about. In my opinion the small is superior to the big, but with out seeing an evo map I can't say between it and the small16g.

If you don't know what to do with these maps let me know what boost your going to run and I'll plot the points out for you.

My car has hit 40.6lb/min with the Evo III Big 16G at 22psi.

[email protected] on its first trip to the track.

Also, the exducer of the Evo 16G wheel and the normal big 16G wheel is the same. But the inducer is 0.01" larger.

The Evo has used the 16G*6 compressor wheel for years. They haven't used the small 16G wheel since the Evo II. And I gotta think that there is a reason.
 
My friend has a 2.3 stroker, and mhi big16g on 34lbs, he doesn't care about the turbo, so it's really up to you. What do you want 12's or 400-500hp, the big16 will get you in that range with supporting mods

ROFL No shit! I barely knew what a 16G was myself back then!

He was trying to get them post counts up so he can post shit on other sections here LOL.
Most likely- looks like I'll have to do a little private investigating....
