What can you get fron a vin #?

I am thinking of buying an Eclipse I found listed on an auction site. The only info I have on it is the year, 1993, and the vin number. I need to know if it is what my husband wants, but I only have that much info on it. What can I find out about it with only that much info and how do I go about it?

for free you can get the basic info on it. the year, model, color. for $20 you can get the whole history of the car, accidents, owners, etc...

You can also ask your local Mitsu service center to type in the Vin # and they might be able to tell you about the Mitsubishi repairs that have been done to it. It will only show you what or if they had work done at the dealerships. They have a network for info like that.
