looking for DSM service in the oakland/bay area

I am from Wisconsin and looking to take trip to oakland to visit some people and probably buy a DSM in the process. I have been talking to the seller and the timing belt broke. I am curious if anyone knows anybody in the Oakland, CA area that specializes or is atleast very fluent working with DSM's. Any suggestions for reputable places will be very appreciated.

There are some terrific shops in Southern Cal (Road Race Engineering comes to mind).

There is PSI in Hayward which is very close to Oakland. They're probably the most experienced shop in the area to go to if you're not looking to go far. I personally haven't had any work done on my car at any shops (local or non-local), so I can't recommend any firsthand. Many others have made this exact inquiry, so I'd try doing a few searches to see what you can find.

I'd try doing a search on the shop name you're interested in taking the car to here on DSMtuners as well as on other DSM sites to see what info you can dig up. We don't allow customer complaints here on our site, so you may not get the whole scoop by just using our site to get info about a particular shop.
