I forget their number but ABLE AUTO CARRIER is a very good company my bro had his car shipped by them they were cheap and ontime, they stayed incontact throughout the shipping and had great customer service i would choose them, i hope this helps.

what is required when shipping a vehicle to another country (from u.s to canada). i know shipping, aircare, inspection. what else? is taxes required?

I ship stuff to Canada, but never shipped a whole vehicle. They always require a customs statement and forms, etc, and the buyer must pay a tax or tarrif based upon the value or price of the item... I would imagine you'll have to pay tax on a vehicle just like you would anything else you bought in the US and had shipped to Canada.

Since I live in Iowa and it's impossible to find a nice half modded 1g GSX or Tsi AWD, does anyone know how to go about getting a vehicle shipped here? What company's do it or do I have to contact a special trucking service to do it. Anyone ever done this? How much is it. Thanks.

There are companies that speciallize in shipping vehicles. Do a search on google. I found a site that got me a dozen or so quotes all from filling out one form. But I forgot what website it was. Prepare to spend $500-1200 depending on how far away the car is from you.

Your not looking hard enough then. I know of 3 1g dsms that have been sold/traded in the past 2 weeks alone all of them moderately modded. Just search more cause it cost about 500-1000 to get a car shipped. All of these cars were in des moines iowa by the way.

My buddy is picking up a laser with a 20g from Seattle, and we live in Indiana. That's 2300 miles for those of you keeping track at home. It's cheaper for us to fly up there and drive it back than it is for him to ship it. And that's with him buying me a plane ticket cuz it's a 35+ hour drive and he doesn't want to do it alone. The cheapest quote we got was 750 for shipping. We can BOTH fly out to get it for under 500 if we don't stay in a hotel. Just something to think about.

I just did an autotrader search for 200 miles around Andrew, Iowa (I have no clue- just a city I picked on the Zip Code List) and there are a ton of mildly modded \ stock TSI AWD's and GSX's in Iowa..... you're just not looking hard enough.


Edit: There's even a red 1997 GSX with only 53k on it for 12g's....... that's not bad...... that's not bad at all. Bone Stock

I want a 1g 90-92 AWD. All I get are used ones with motors that have 200,000 miles or ones for like 7000 and im not gonna spend that on a 1g. I tried google but google just gives me dsmtuners classifieds.

I think you came to the wrong as far as shippin, there is a lot of shippin companies out the, you can search rates online. And about a DSM what kind are you lookin for, what do you mean built?
