For those that use the mighty max oil filter housing on a built engine, how do you like it?

Low pressure, high pressure? Did you port it? No balance shafts? Do you have squirters?

Is there any compiled data that built engine with no b/shafts have low pressure with the ffofh in the first place?
Typically 4g63 with deleted oil passages have very high pressure.
They are discussing it now in the "ofh important information thread". My question to you would be why would that hole be there in the first place? To relieve pressure! I read the same thread and pretty much understood what Keltalon has pointed out.

The principle of what's going on with the hole there is being discussed. I would like to know if most, some, all, or few people have low pressure with ffofh. Or vice versa... There have been some people to chime in his thread for low oil pressure but that is because its the topic, I would like to know if some people have excellent pressure, high pressure since builds vary and that changes pressure.

Kelvin is a clever guy and he's put together a nice car for himself. But he is not authoritative in this subject.

Not that I can claim to be, but I have data from a sensor that outputs voltage referenced to a scale and a good deal of lab/class education that touches on this.

I also recognize that literally every setup is different and the number of issues reported involving low pressure and the FFOFHs from the Mighty Max are minimal.

They are setup specific issues. Advocating his modification as a universal thing is not good advice and not based on anything resembling the scientific method.

And as stated before in the other thread, You are going to get a lower reading no matter what on a Forward Facing housing since the gauge port is post filter. The gauge port on everything else is pre filter.

You think you understood what he said, But you ignored what everyone else said, or didnt understand as much as you think you did.

Please dont spread BULLSHIT. I'm guessing you read like 1 page of that post and decided, :aha: Oh the stock guage isn't where it was before and now if i block this hole it will move back there!!! PROBLEM SOLVED I'M A GENIUS! :ohdamn:
No facts about oil pressure can be taken from a stock guage especially with a Front facing filter...:ohdamn:

To the OP, I would go stock personally or Front facing if you need the room, Either one will work.
