My 91 Talon AWD leaks hydraulic fluid from the ABS unit. I need to repair it or get rid of it (which I don't know how to do but I'll figure it out). It's the stock Nippon Denso unit, Mitsu part number MB618990. Is there a repair/refurb seal kit for this part? The cost of a new or reman unit is unaffordable and there's nothing on eBay.

If anyone from the NSA is listening in, maybe they could help me find one too ;)

If you want the cheapest/easiest route, find a donor car and just pull the abs module off of it. You can even try searching the classifieds as many people delete their abs.

Or, find a car without abs and pull the lines from it. This can get quite extensive if you have never done it before but here is what all is involved: ABS removal - Colorado DSM Club Forums

You can use any 90-94 1g. Doesn't matter if it's n/a or not as all brake hard lines for those cars should be the same, except for certain earlier 90's.

Make sure whatever you do, you do extensive testing/bleeding of the brake line before driving. Brakes are very dangerous to work on if you have no experience or are looking for the cheapest route.

Thanks, Soccerguy. Trouble is we don't have any donor cars over here. I may well have the only Talon or Eclipse in Ireland. I could try to get a part from a junkyard next time I'm in the Land of the DSM and hope it works. But it'd be so much easier just to renew the damned seals on the part I already have...

Sorry I couldn't be more help :(. I didn't even notice where you were located. I guess that would make finding a donor car more difficult.

After doing a lot of searching, it seems like the only solution to a leaking module is to replace it or bypass it. I haven't found any threads where it's even discussed as an option. You could always call a mitsu dealer and ask if they sell a kit? Maybe you might get lucky and they sell a simple seal kit?

Otherwise, there are a few threads where people just picked up a non-abs prop valve from somewhere and then used their existing lines and some flaring/bending to get them all to work right and bypass the module. You should be able to find a prop valve at the very least on ebay for sub $30.

You could also try searching/posting in the classifieds. Maybe somebody can help you out? I know I would if I had any spare parts lying around I would be happy to send them to you.

Good luck and sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
