Hello all first time poster on here been a member for a little while since i got my eclipse last year its a !998 gs non turbo 2.0 automatic model. Me and my buddy have been working on fixing the little issues on my car here and there and been having this problem a lot lately before my car would idle high and dip up a little and now its doing the opposite and idling really low and the oil light comes on and she feels like she is going to stall and has a few times here and there, also it doesn't really happen right away you could drive about 20-30 miles before the idling gets really low, be fore we checked out the car with a scan tool we sefomed the car & did fuel injector cleaner. I check the fluids regularly like every other week & check my oil at least once a week cause of the oil light coming on when it idles low. Well when we checked the vacume on the car its at 13lbs of murcery i think is how you say it and i haven't really found anything for non turbo models with this kind of issue. Thanks for any help or areas i could go & investagate on.

Low vacuum like that is usually almost always a sign of incorrect valve timing. Check to make sure all the marks for your timing belt line up.

i don't know if my oil pressure is good don't have a gauge for that so is there any other way of checking that with out going out & buying one and also been looking around to try and find the timing information and not really getting that far on that either and i do appreciate the help & general direction of were to go.

thnx i showed that to my buddy and said we will try and take a look at that this weekend i also for got to mention though don't know if the two problems are caused by the same thing but when i step on the gas it is low on power but you can feel it shifting the right way when you really step on it if that makes any sense. Also i was talking with one of my other friends that knows about cars and was saying to check a few other things like the tps sensor / idle control solenoid / resistence of the ingectors / fuel pressure @ load at rail & also my map sensor. Also i forgot to mention my millage if that is of any help to its about 86xxx
