Car dies after exhaust manifold and turbo gasket change.

Got a broken bolt on my mani to turbo and took it all off to bring to the shop. Got mani gaskets, down pipe and turbo and changed them and reinstalled everything. Drove the car for about a hour yesterday, ran great and today driving to work got up to 2.5k - 3k then car started bogging and died. Tried to keep starting it and it bogs at 1k then dies when pressing the gas. Some white smoke was coming off the left side of the exhaust gasket. At work right now so can't really rip it apart. Any ideas? Will a bad mani gasket cause this?

More than likely the smoke is just oil from the Removing/installing the turbo. Your best bet is to look for Boost leaks and make sure all the sensors you touched are connected.

I find it unlikely that a small leak caused by a gasket would cause this.

Are you sure everything is plugged in?

Not sure what could be unplugged. Like I said I drove it yesterday flawlessly. Only thing I disconnect then reconnected is both coolant lines to turbo, o2 sensor wire, both oil lines from the turbo and that's it.

Did you completely remove the O2 sensor from the housing?

id check for loose intercooler hoses or pipes. i had one come loose and had the same problems. did you happen to experience this problem after hearing a somewhat loud pop noise while driving?

Nailed it. The lower ic piping that connects to the intercooler was disconnected. The clamp must of not been on tight and when I hit 2.5k it blew off. Thanks!!
