ECM LINK port in use?

ive had link for 6 months an i cant connect it keeps saying serv port in use cant find anything online i dont know what to do wasted money ready to sell it
its ecmlink v3 full 2g

Did you buy new or used? Also, did you register on ECMLink & follow the tutorial?

its a used version an it connected when i first got it long enough to reset everything hasnt since an its a used copy s i cant register it

You can register it, I bought mines used and got registered for the forums. You need to contact them and they will tell you all you need to register.

Do you have the drivers installed for the ECMlink cable?
When you connect the cable and try to connect to the ECU, do you see the light on the cable blink?
Does the connection scan the computer COM ports to try and find the cable?

On the ecu tab click config connection, change which port its using

Go ecmlink.com. go contact us. Email them tell you got used dsmlink. Tell them your full name along with what version of dsm link you got and the chips sn numbers. Also email and desired user name for the forums. I got a replie in about 15mins. Make sure you got the drivers installed. I got v2 and havent had proble connecting
