ia am thinking of putting ac in my car any one ever did it to a car that has had the system removed?

I removed my AC system whenever I rebuilt my bottom end. Now that its summer I realized I made a horrible mistake LOL. So I went and bought another system today. Now i'm in your boat, but it can't be too hard. I'm guessing the hardest part is getting the compressor mounted on the block.

depending on what the guy took out when he removed it you could need a number of things. when I did mine the only thing I still had was my evap core under the dash. I had to get the high and low pressure lines, the compressor, the compressor belt/ tensioner/bracket, the evaporator, the condenser, and a slim fan for my a/c side. I got lucky and bought it from pick a part off a 98 gst and it all worked on my 95 tsi. just an FYI n/t 420a a/c parts will not work on you gsx.

oh ya and a word of advice. if you get used parts, make shure you replace all the o- rings on those lines so u don't get a leak in the system.

it may be different. im not Shure if it just worked because I swapped everything minus the evap core. but if you take the vac lines off of the FRP solenoid, you can squeeze that compressor right in between the intake and the drivers side strut tower. there's not a whole lot of room but that's how I did mine.

I personally did this last year. It sucked for sure. All of those little plastic clips for the lines on the firewall were broken off, had to o ring all everything again. Things didn't seem to fit exactly as it came from the factory but I got everything figured out. The hardest part was the compressor like everybody already guessed. Doesn't fit well between the intake, fuel rail and brake master cylinder. I had to take some stuff off and it still only fit one way. Then you have to have long skinny arms to bolt it to the block and then attach your low and high lines. Have fun. You'll probably want to raise the engine a bit for more clearance. Just remove the driver mount and jack it up safely of course.
