So my car is throwing a 0443 code with is the purge valve system. Im wondering if this could be caused by the fact I have no rear o2 sensor hooked up any more? Also I have alot of pressure when removing the gas tank cap to fill up. Do I need to replace a purge valve or something? Or block off my EGR? Im getting the car tuned soon and just need to know if I need to do something about this.

Befor going any further, do you have dsmlink?

Yes I do

If your going to say just uncheck the evap purge box in dsmlink under the dtc codes, Ive already done that, The check engine light goes out but it still comes on while driving sometimes. When I accelerate the check engine light will come on and then go back off when I let off the gas pedal. very strange. Any ideas?

I posted a bunch of info about the evap system in another thread. I would start there and begin checking all of the components. If you have a lot of pressure being released when you open the fuel cap, it sounds like the fuel vapors aren't able to leave the tank properly.

EGR has nothing to do with it. Neither does the lack of O2 sensor. You won't have any driveability issues, performance loss, etc. It's designed for emissions purposes.

So it doesn't need to be fixed before I get the car tuned?
