evo 9 bov on a 2g check engine light ### help

So i just got a evo 9 stock bov today from a friend and i swap the 2g stock plastic bov for it since i heard its stronger & hold better boost. The car runs ok until it starts building boost & it sounds louder & the car feels like it's not going anywhere it scared me how loud it was.

The sound didn't sound normal to me. Before when i had the 2g bov in it would pull nice but now that i did the swap it gave me a check engine light a few minutes ago when drove it earlier today i didn't have a check engine light.I check the bolts & vacuum lines everything seems ok. I also recently installed my injen intake with a k&n filter everything is pretty much stock besides the intake & evo III 16g I dont know whats going on ?

As impossible as your post is to read (already issued a grammar warning), did you ever think to first find out WHY the check engine light is on? Could be for something completely unrelated- like an inefficient catalyst.

Unless, of course, you failed to recirculate the Evo BOV.

head over to autozone to see what the check engine light is, might be for something else, maybe you left a hose unplugged. I dont know much about the evo bov, but if its air tight and recirculated, its shouldnt be throwing any Check engine lights...

Like I said bro I dont see how the bov could cause the cel. Its recirculated and bolted down nice.

Best bet is to get the code read and go from there.

More than likely the vacuum line going to your bov is not on correctly or doesn't fit. Which is causing your bov to open prematurely.

I hope it's just something small ill recheck everything one more time

so i check the car & my friend scan it but it didn't show anything & by accident he clear the code so i drove it again didn't throw a code at all but still felt like it was jerky at full boost

also the car signal lights stop working & hazards are not working the fuse was blown so we re replace it & drove it again still same thing happen once again blew out

turbo timer is acting weird also its been making a weird beeping noise i never heard before i have a greddy turbo timer

we check everything we could think of car drives ok if I'm not building boost

Sounds like something is shorting out too. Check all the wiring for the turbo timer.

I really need help on this one my friends didn't find anything but yet it's still doing it. I ask could they remove the turbo timer & I guess I have to wait until my friend has the time he's been busy working on other cars all day.

I think it maybe had something to do with the turbo timer or something cause it to freak out like this. They said it feels like somethings cutting out when it reaches 3k or maybe it's letting too much air into the mass flow sensor. I ran the intake for like a week no problems and i got on it a few times during that week of the install seem normal

No I have no idea it started doing this after installing the evo 9 bov my buddy said it came off a 1g laser & he was boosting 14psi I think he said. I had everything stock on my car so whatever the stock psi is for a 16g is what I'm running using a stock 2g bov & the injen intake with the K&n filter from the beginning before all this happen

Sucks dude my friend clear the code by mistake and it hasn't thrown another code yet
